Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is a naturally occurring nonapeptide described as a neuromodulator of sleep architecture and stress physiology. The protocol highlights that DSIP administration is associated with increases in delta-wave (slow-wave) sleep on EEG, suggesting an effect on deep non-REM sleep initiation and maintenance. It is also described as crossing the blood–brain barrier and interacting with central sleep-regulatory circuitry, potentially enhancing inhibitory tone or stabilizing sleep-promoting networks. Beyond sleep, DSIP is linked to modulation of the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis: the page notes attenuation of ACTH and corticosterone responses under stress, which may translate to calmer stress reactivity and improved sleep continuity. A key differentiator emphasized is normalization of sleep patterns without typical next-day sedation reported with some hypnotics. In short, DSIP is presented as a sleep-depth and stress-response modulator.
Occasional headache
Occasional nausea
Mild injection-site reactions (redness/itching)
  • Use aseptic technique: wipe vial stopper with alcohol; use new sterile syringe/needle
  • Add diluent slowly down the vial wall to minimize foaming
  • Gently swirl/roll until fully dissolved (do not shake)
  • Label vial with reconstitution date and concentration; protect from light
  • Refrigerate after reconstitution (commonly 2–8 °C) unless protocol states otherwise
  • Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles
  • Bacteriostatic Water for Injection contains benzyl alcohol preservative (multi-dose); follow protocol for beyond-use (many peptide protocols use ~28 days after mixing)
  • Avoid benzyl-alcohol-containing diluents in neonates/infants (safety warning for benzyl alcohol)
